Hippo Halloween Card

Hey crafty friends it's Zoe and I am back again to share a card I created using the NEW Jack's Friends stamp set and coordinating dies. Are you ready for Halloween? These adorable critters are too cute to spook!

This is an A2 card which measures 4.25 by 5.5 in landscape orientation. The background card pane is cut from black cardstock. Cut a 2.25 circle cut out of the middle (where it would be hidden).

Cut purple cardstock to 4 x 5.25 inches in landscape orientation. Mask of the top and bottom of the purple cardstock leaving about a 1.75 inch gap in the middle. Randomly stamp bats all over in embossing ink. Remove masking paper. Cover with white embossing powder and emboss with heat gun.

On a small scrap of paper, ink blend the top with blue ink and the bottom with brown ink. Splatter with white acrylic paint. Spray with shimmer spray. When dry, cut out a 2 inch circle out of the part you like the best.

Emboss the sentiment on a strip of black card stock, trim to fit sentiment.

Color the images using the coloring medium of your choice. Copic Markers were used to color the images. The markers used were:
Pumpkin: R27, YR07, YR16, Y38, Y08 – Stem YG97, YG93
Hippo: W7, W5, W3, W1 – Eyes B63, W9 – Cheeks R20

Mat the ink blended circle onto the black circle. Using foam adhesive, adhere the colored image to the middle of the blended circle. Adhere the circle cluster to the middle of the bat embossed strip. Adhere the panel to a landscape A2 card base.
