Cool Haunted Scene!

Hi Crafty Friends, it's Debbie here and I am beyond thrilled to be doing my first blog post for Pixi Dust Designs!

So, let's get started with a pop-up interactive card using previously released Haunted House Die Set, the adorable Trick or Treaters Stamp and Dies and the Clouds and Grass Slimline Die.

Cut out the elements to make the pop-up, then add a brick stencil and color it on with gray ink. Using double adhesive tape and liquid glue to attach it.. I like to use liquid glue to be able to move around for perfect alignment.

Cut out two of the slimline grass dies for going along the bottom of the pop-up as well as the two steps to the pop-up. I did some ink blending for shadowing on them. Cut the border down to about 3/4 inch, the steps are 2 ¾ X ½ inch. Gluing to the bottom and on to the front and middle steps.

Cut out the images from Haunted House, with dark gray cardstock and yellow for the light in the windows. I love that there are dies just for this purpose!

The three Tombstone and the tree are from a light gray cardstock. I did some shadowing with mid-gray ink and with my Copic pen C3 filled in the letters on the tombstones.

Cut out three Bats are from black cardstock and the three ghosts are white with shadowing on from the remaining ink on the brush. It doesn’t take much. With a scrap of black cardstock, I filled in the back of the ghost for the eyes.

Cut out the 3 pumpkins from the Haunted House with an Orange card stock and scraps of yellow for the backs as well as the moon die. The moon die is from my stash.

Cut out three Acetate picks 1/8inch for attaching the bats and the moon. Length will vary.

I stamped out the images I from the Trick or Treaters stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Once they were all colored in, I used the matching dies. I taped down the dies with low tack tape and ran through my Platinum 6 die cutting  machine.

Now, to put it all together! The tree is in the very back wall, not on a step. Realizing it needs some reinforcement, I cut out a second to place on the back of the tree. Wait until all elements are on, so you’ll also sandwich the pick for the
moon in between.

The Haunted House, glue the windows into the back of the house. Then it will be glued on to the very back step. I did also cut out an additional house to glue on to the back afterwards for a clean look from all sides. Glued the ghosts directly to the house.

Added the Mummy, Devil Girl and tombstone to the middle step.

The Front Step is Count Dracula and a tombstone.

The sentiment was heat embossed with White onto gray cardstock. Make sure to use an anti-static powder first! Glued it into place and added the kitty in front.
On the bottom of the pop-up sides, I added a tombstone and pumpkins.

The bats and the moon on to the picks I used small glue dots, I almost fold them over to make them even smaller. Placing one bat behind the tombstone another to the back of the Haunted House. I was able to just liquid glue the last bat to the tree. The moon it wedged in between the branches of the tree. Now I glued the additional tree to the back.
