Meet our Designer, Patty

I have been married almost 40 years to Greg (October will be 40).  We have two grown kids one grandchild and two granddoggos.

Where we live now.. We live in a NW suburb of Minneapolis, Mn. We have been here about 9 years.  We have lived in Dallas and Chicago, but Minneapolis is home.

How long have I been crafting…I have been crafting since I was 9 or 10.  It slowed down a bit when the kids were little, but I got back into when the kids were over the age of 10. About 50 years.

Where I craft…We have a bonus room in our house and that is where I typically paper craft.  It’s also an additional guest room so I have to really limit and contain my supplies. The walls are slanted, so I can’t have very tall book shelves in there.

My favorite time to craft…I recently had to quit my job to care for my mother-in-law.  I craft at night and help her during the day.  Sundays are my stitching days. I sit on the deck and cross stitch for hours!

My very favorite PDD creation…hmmm. I can’t choose one.  I like the 4th of July Fairy card and the Summer Garden box card.  There was a Harry Pottter tunnel card I really liked.  The Soda-light full was so fun.  And the She Snail! Too hard to choose.

Other hobbies.. Cross stitch, bread baking and gardening.  Our gardens are beautiful right now! Trying to improve on gluten free bread recipes. I have several relatives that have needed to go GF.  I enjoy the science of making GF treats that taste good.

Favorite season to craft…Fall.  So many fun elements in the fall.  Sunflowers, pumpkins, Halloween, Thanksgiving…I love them all.  And the colors of fall! So gorgeous!

Craft alone or in groups…Both.  It’s hard to get away to craft in a group, but when I can, it’s like a mini vacation. Crafting is such a wonderful way to de-stress that I try and craft 3 times a week.  I have worked with numbers for a long time so any time I can craft and not worry about interest rates and income, I am happy.

Favorite PDD release…The donut truck!  Cutest thing ever!

My favorite projects with Pixi Dust Designs die sets:
