Fun Box Die Set Ideas!

Hello, Kim here today, sharing with you how to create with the this new Fancy Box Die Set! You will see from the pictures that there is a cutout to insert a small gift, candy, or egg but you could also omit that and cover the hole and use it for something else entirely. But with Easter and Mother's Day right around the corner, this would be a super creative way to add a little surprise to your special day!

So these are all the dies. I am showing you what I cut with plain cardstock and then what I cut with patterned paper. Obviously, you can mix that up and use any paper you like!

I used Bella Flowers paper pack, which is perfect for this time of year! So many pretty flower papers, it was hard to choose.

After die cutting all the papers, I went to work scoring the top and bottom pieces to prepare to glue it together.

I marked top and bottom, but you can see the top has a little curved tab to make it easier to open the box.

Now, as for putting the bottom together, it took me a minute, but once I figured it out, it was so easy. So slide the bottom piece with the tabs under the bigger bottom piece as shown. Practice once first, then I added some glue on the tabs and slid it in.

That's the hardest part; the rest just falls into place.

Next, I added a square on the bottom to cover up the workings.

On top of that, I added the cutout with the hole in it. Just add some glue to the sides and slip it in.

Now the fun part, adding all the pretty papers!

After I added some papers, I glued the top to the bottom.

For the bow, after it was diecut, I curled the paper a bit using a pen or pencil, just so when gluing it down it stays rounded like a pretty bow!

Then I glued all four sides to the back middle.
IMG_5228.jpeg
Added the bow center to the front and wrapped it around to the back, and glued it down. This gives it a nice finish.

Finally, I added it to the top of the box along with the other ribbon piece and we are done! So now you can create all kinds of sweet boxes with surprises inside!
