Franky and Draky!
Hi Crafty friends, this is Debbie with the new Franky and Draky Dies from the September release. You know with my last name that I was going to love Franky! My daughter’s nickname on the swim team years ago was Frankie. Only because there was another girl who was also a Taylor.
Anyhow, to start off, I wanted to do more than a Cake box with this new die set. I wanted to make it a card as well. I later even thought of Tags. My girlfriend saw them, and she said how cute they would be for a wine bottle tag as a hostess gift! Red wine, of course, with Dracula!
For my Draky card, I first ink-blended a standard A2 panel with blue inks, and on the outer edge, I went in with black ink for added spookiness. Next, with a Bat stencil from my stash I ink blended on in a couple of areas some of the bats. Not wanting it to be a full panel. Then I splattered some water droplets and with a clean paper towel dabbed if off. Then with some Perfect Pearls for a shimmery effect. Set it to the side to dry.
I then die cut out Draky, keeping his skin a very pale peach color. Of course, he had to be in black and red for his outfit.
Once he was all adhered together, I popped him up with some 3D foam squares.
The panel is now dry and attached to the card base, and Draky is popped on. But I still needed a sentiment from my stash, and this one says it all!

Now, for Franky, I made the Slice of Cake Dies, with lime green and black card stock. I did do a little ink blending on the edges of the die cuts to give them some depth. Also, I dress Franky up a bit, giving him rosy cheeks and a glittery Lapelle on his jacket. Franky is ready for a night out on the town with his bow tie and all.
Also, I wanted to let you know that I did stamp out a cute little sentiment on the inside of the box for a nice surprise to the recipient. Mine said, “ I’m NUTS (and BOLTS) about you. Fitting, don’t you think?

What’s your favorite product from the release? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day my friends!
