Filigree Tag Card!

Hi Crafty friends, Debbie here with the new Mother’s Day release over at Pixi Dust Designs! I’m so in love with this release, having all the pretty detail cover plates, Mini Flowers with the Ivy Leaves!

I was in a bit of a slump for my creativity, so I went to Pinterest and on Instagram and CASed a few designers. It definitely helped, so if you ever find yourself that way check out Pinterest or case a friend’s card that you love. They will be so happy you were inspired by them!

For my card today, I loved a card that Melissa Phillips made and cased hers right down to the color combination. The new Filigree Pocket Die, along with the new Blooming Flourish Background Cover Plate made the perfect combination of products.

If you follow me, you know that I love polka dots, so I went searching through my stash for some pattern paper! Cut them down to 3/4 inch stripes. Die-cut the Blooming Flourish from a pale yellow card stock and attach it to a standard A2 top-fold card base. Along with the cover plate in the pale yellow card stock, I die-cut three of the flowers with all the layers from the Mini Flowers Die Set. Also, the leaves from the Ivy Leaf Dies, those were a last-minute decision to add on. Next, I die-cut the Filigree Pocket die and used my bone folder to reinforce the impression for the fold. With the insert for the pocket tag, I slide it into the pocket. Then I attached the “Miss You” from the Classic Sentiment Dies. Once the sentiment was in place,  I adhered the yellow mini flowers and the leaves to the insert for the pocket tag.

To finish off my card I added some matte Silver pearls to the centers of the flowers, and added a black bow to the tag. I hope that my card inspired you and have a wonderful day!
