Felt Winter Scene!

Hi Friends!
The Quiet Sister here today, and I decided to use some of my Pixi Dust Designs Paper dies to create a Winter Scene using scraps of felt. Most of the felt is an acrylic blend from a big box store. There may be some wool blend scraps in the project, but it is 90% acrylic.
I found whatever scraps I needed and began cutting everything out. I used three die sets from Pixi Dust Designs; Hills and Trees Slimline, Christmas Accessories VT and Let It Snow. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine and I was able to cut the felt with minimal issues (I would have to snip some threads that didn’t cut).
To adhere the felt, I used Aleene’s Fabric Fusion. This glue is amazing for felt. It holds everything in place, and you can add stitching over it if you want to elevate your design. I think gluing the pieces before stitching makes felt projects much easier.
I glued pearls onto the snowflakes and Spellbinders gold gems on the trees. I took silver gems and colored them black with my Copic marker and added them to the snowman. I ran a line of glue on the sleigh runners and reins and sprinkled gold glitter over the glue line. I did a little stitching along the snow line just to add some interest and texture.
I added the felt work to the 5 inch hoop and laced up the back and I was finished.
