Decorate pencils, straws, or candy canes!

Hi crafty friends, Debbie here! Super excited to share the adorable Christmas Cane Companions Die Set from the Christmas in July release here at Pixi Dust Designs.

When I first saw this set, I thought it was incredibly cute, especially with the two candy canes tucked behind the characters. I immediately envisioned using them not just on a pencil but also on a straw! Since I have so many fun polka-dot straws, I decided to give it a try.

I die-cut all five images and applied matching dye inks to the sides to add dimension. To hold the candy canes, I used a small box die that attaches with liquid glue. For the elves, I chose to cut off the bottom of the pencil and then slide in a matching straw to create fun decorations. 

These creations would make super cute gifts, especially for teachers! You could also glue them onto candy canes to hang from a tree.
