Cutest Treat Boxes
Hi Friends! Patti blogging today. You may or may not know that my mother-in-law is in assisted living. The care she receives is wonderful! We keep a candy dish outside of her room almost every day so the aids have little treats throughout the day. But, I still think it means more to them when I make special boxes that she can give to them, and that is what I have created today.

The treat boxes are from the Pixi Dust Designs Slice of Cake die set. The Santa and Snowman are from the Snowman and Santa Socks die set. I think they add the perfect touch to the boxes.
Getting Started
To begin, I cut out each of the treat boxes. The green is DCS Bonsai and the red is out of Pop-Tone Wild Cherry. The white is from Cougar Smooth cardstock and I colored his orange nose with Copic marker Y09.

Next Steps
For a little dimension, I ink blended around the edges of the triangle top and on the scallops on the sides. The inks I used are Catherine Poolers Cranberry Fizz on the red and Deck the Halls on the green. I also used It’s A Boy along the edges of the snowman. I assembled the snowman and the wreath and moved on to Santa.
For Santa, I colored his beard and mustache with Copic Marker C1 and C3. His face was colored with Copic marker E11 and his rosy cheeks are Rv11. I used the C1 and C3 on the tassel and fur on Santa’s hat as well.

Finishing Up
For the treat boxes, I scored on the lines and then glued the sides together with the tabs. It’s so easy to figure out! I added the top onto the base by putting glue on the flap. I added my Christmas figures to the top and the die cuts on the sides and my boxes were complete.
