Summer Fun with Debbie!

Hi crafty friends Debbie here with all the summer vibes! The new Summer Accessories VT Die Set from Pixi Dust Designs July Release is now available. It’s funny I have been all over the map with my card making these days, Christmas and summer in July. Soon with be Halloween and I’m down with that!
Let’s get started! I knew I wanted to do a beach scene. So, I started off with a panel of Bristol Smooth panel and ink blended on Distress Oxides: Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Uncharted Marnier. Splattered on some water and lifted off with a clean paper towel. To have the water sparkle, I watered it down and splattered it on Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust. And for seam foam I then I watered down some Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White. Set it to the side to dry.
With some Kraft card stock, I die cut it out Shoreline Borders. With a dark brown ink I blended on the edges to give a nice depth. Then splattered it also with the Pixie and white, set it to the side to dry.
For the Summer Accessories VT dies, I grabbed the MFT 6x6 Fun Fall Blends paper pad. Once I chose my color blends, I set it on the cutting plate. Laying out the dies to where the ones with two layers. Like say the umbrella or the ball, I did one of the dies on the darker color and one on the lighter side.
Now the panel and borders are dry, so I attached them to a card base with liquid glue. I kept the glue away from the top edges to where I could tuck the surfboard and such into the sand.
Adhering all my layers together and laid out the design. I knew I would want some flowers on the design. So, after everything was attached, I added the flowers whether I needed a dark or lighter flower. I still had plenty of the gradient card stock to use for them.
Once I had a couple up by the sentiment and on the tote, I realized the surfboard was plain. So, I added three more flowers to it.
